CTAP 6 is pleased to announce the iTELL training August 4 6, 2009 8:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. at the Stanislaus County Office of Education. Integrating Technology for English Language Learners (iTELL) is a three-day program designed to prepare teachers to implement research-based strategies that integrate technology in their classrooms. These strategies have been shown to improve teaching and enhance learning for EL students. In order to make the best use of the time, participants should bring their Teacher’s Edition and/or other curriculum materials, including interactive input devices such as the Interwrite pad, if available. Participants should plan to implement at least one strategy or product created during the first two days; a portion of the agenda on Day 3 will be dedicated to sharing implementation experiences. Please contact Burt Lo (209) 238-1454 or email blo@ctap6.k12.ca.us for more information. The fee for this 3 day workshop is only $75 for CTAP Region 6 participants (includes access to California Streaming and lunch). CTAP 6 includes the counties of Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne. Participants from other regions are welcome to attend, please call for pricing.
